Belize is a tiny country, with a land mass of just over 8,800 square miles. It is located between Guatemala and Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea runs the length of Belize’s eastern coast.

History:
Maya Heritage, British influence

People :
Population 130,000. Locally available, internationally oriented, trained and educated workforce in the legal, accounting and clerical positions. Hard working bilingual (English speaking) personnel.

Telecommunication:
Excellent and reliable communication facilities including direct dial telephone, telex, facsimile, cable, radio, television, cellular, E-mail and Internet are available.

Air Transportation:
Belize is a two hour flight away from the major US cities of New Orleans, Houston and Miami. Those international carriers that provide air transportation to and from Belize include:

Legal System:
British legacy

Major industries:
Tourism, Sugar, Citrus, Banana.

Electrical System:
Most of the country is connected to the electricity provided by the Belize Electricity Ltd. The voltage is 110 volts, A.C.

Entry Requirements:
A passport is required for one to be able to enter Belize. No visas are required from those persons coming from the United States, United Kingdom and most Caribbean countries. Citizens of most other countries need to have visas to enter Belize.

Currency:
Local currency is the Belize dollar, or BZ.
One U.S. dollar is worth BZ $2.00. (exchange fixed at 2 to 1)
